Refer a young person

Working with a young person who could benefit?

If someone you support is interested in paid work, practical learning or starting a business, you can refer them to TechStart. If you would like to talk first, use the organisation enquiry.

Information for referrers

Schools and colleges

Talk to us about leavers, T Level industry placements and students exploring technology and business careers. Tell us what the student is interested in and any practical arrangements they need.

Universities

Graduates and final-year students can explore the Graduate Fast Stream. Careers teams are welcome to discuss suitability before referring.

Jobcentres

Work coaches can refer young people looking for a supported route into work. Share the young person's interests and the best way to reach them.

Local authorities

We are happy to discuss how TechStart could support young people in your area, starting with West London.

Community organisations

Youth workers and support workers can refer young people they work with, or ask us for a conversation first.

What to share

Their first name, how to reach them and what they are interested in. Please do not send identity documents, medical information or detailed safeguarding disclosures through this form.

Referral form

We will contact the young person directly to talk about options. A referral does not reserve a place.

For example: careers adviser, work coach, youth worker.

Only the minimum we need to get in touch.

Please do not include medical details or detailed personal history. We can discuss support privately.

If the young person is under 18, follow your organisation's process for any permissions needed.

We use your details only to respond to this enquiry and, if relevant, to discuss TechStart opportunities with you. Read our privacy notice. Please do not include medical details, identity documents or bank information.
